Jeffrey Jake’s passion for the culinary arts is fueled by the abundance of fresh local ingredients abound in Southern California. It is this approach to cooking and his extensive knowledge of cuisine that has propelled him to outstanding achievements worldwide.
As Executive Chef at Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, Chef Jake oversees the food and beverage program at the Forbes triple Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond luxury resort including Amaya Restaurant, a local favorite serving Californian cuisine with Italian influences; The Clubhouse Grill, offering everything from pre-round bites to late-night dining in a relaxed atmosphere; Cent’Anni cafe; and all catering and in-room dining service for the resort.
Throughout his career, Jake has mastered his craft working at top establishments including Domain Chandon, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, The Old Bath House Restaurant, The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Carneros Inn, and most recently the Silverado Report and Spa. He has garnered regional and national recognition for his culinary excellence from Condé Nast Traveler, Gourmet, and San Francisco Chronicle, among many others. He has also conducted cooking courses at the Culinary Center of Monterey and taught California cuisine cooking classes in Japan.
