Stephen Wambach brings twenty years of experience to downtown Palm Springs as Executive Chef of Juniper Table and 4 Saints, which debuted November 2017. The venues are in the city’s tallest structure, the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel, and only rooftop space providing views of the desert oasis. Both restaurants will serve bold cuisine inspired by Wambach’s work abroad. A vibrant upscale-casual eatery, Juniper Table will feature rustic, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, while 4Saints will offer with sharable plates and internationally-inspired ingredients. Prior to joining the Kimpton team, the Manhattan native trained with distinguished chefs around the globe. His first role was in 1999 as a tournant at Manhattan’s 44 at the Royalton Hotel where he was mentored by chefs Claude Troisgros, Marc Meneau, Jean-Michel Lorain, and Jean-Pierre Vigato. He apprenticed at three Michelin-starred restaurant L’Esperance in Burgundy before returning stateside to work at The Blue Door in Miami’s Delano Hotel, Bistro Laurent Tourondel, and Michelin-starred Restaurant Marc Forgione. Wambach relocated to Chicago in 2009 to open Epic, earning the restaurant numerous accolades including Esquire’s “10 Best New Restaurants.” The same year, he also opened BLT locations in Hong Kong and Miami. Most recently, Wambach was part of the Four Seasons Hotel group where he consulted in Beirut and was Executive Chef of the 5-star Chicago property.
