Born in Bolivia but raised most of her life in Uruguay, Chef Valentina Batture moved to Miami, Florida in 2002 to begin her culinary journey. With no professional background and speaking very little English, Valentina began working in the front of house at various restaurants until she was approached to work in the kitchen by the Chef/Owner of Limoncello. Her fierce and ambitious personality allowed her to jump right in and eventually work her way up to head chef. Chef Valentina is a self-taught; reading books and learning from peers to gain knowledge and further her education. In 2009, She worked alongside Chef Benjamin Bailly and then Chef Giselle Wellman of the luxury caviar boutique Petrossian here in LA. After 6 years with Petrossian and a desire for new opportunities, Chef Valentina took the position of Executive Sous Chef at Petty Cash Taqueria in 2015. She was recently promoted to Chef de Cuisine. Chef Valentina has added a wealth of experience and knowledge while at the helm of the Petty Cash kitchen. Her talent and passion for the culinary craft are present in the faces and smiles of any guest that enjoys her food.
